The Asian Rhino Specialist Group (AsRSG) is one of the 100+ Specialist Groups in the Species Survival Commission of IUCN – The World Conservation Union. Its mission is to promote the conservation of the three endangered rhino species in Asia – the Javan, Sumatran, and Greater One-horned rhinos. The AsRSG holds regular meetings to review the status of rhino populations in Asia and to develop recommendations for protecting and conserving priority populations. It has also developed an Asian Rhino Conservation Plan for range countries.
