Children across the United States are returning to school, including the students of PS 107 in Brooklyn, New York.  Earlier this year, PS 107 students launched their Beast Relief campaign, held a special Cinco de Rhino fundraising event and collected $1,141.81 to help save Sumatran rhinos. Some ran lemonade stands, others sold cookies or held raffles.  In addition, Infiniti Medical, a veterinary technology company, complemented the students’ efforts with a $1,000 matching contribution to the International Rhino Foundation.  Looking ahead, some of the PS 107 classes are contemplating a book project about Andatu, the world’s most famous baby Sumatran rhino.
