Rhino Experts Weigh in on their Wish for World Rhino Day
In the continuing effort to spread the word about rhino conservation and the current poaching crisis, our friends at Project: African Rhino recently posed a question to several leading rhino experts, charities and organizations including IRF’s own Dr. Susie Ellis.
What single thing would you like to see happen in the next 12 months to help bring an end to the poaching?
“I’d like to see inspection of each and every cargo container, piece of hand luggage, and checked luggage that leaves Africa, including airports and marine ports, as well as all cargo containers and pieces of hand and checked luggage that enter Chinese and Vietnamese points of entry, coupled with corporal punishment for those caught with horn.”
Dr. Susie Ellis, International Rhino Foundation

I agree with the wishes of Dr. Ellis however, I would like to see that level of effort translated to direct military protection for every rhino… Rhino Militia !!
My wish: to see an end to all talk of trade and a single message going out that rhino horn is neither a working medication or shall it be available
