Rhino Champions: Quyen Vu, Education For Nature-Vietnam
Join us as we celebrate the Year of Rhino Champions. Each month, we’ll introduce you to a new Rhino Champion – one of the many brave, passionate, committed individuals who work to protect rhinos in their own unique ways – from South African rangers tracking poachers, to Vietnamese volunteers staking out illegal rhino horn traders, to American schoolchildren raising money for rhino conservation.
This month, we are highlighting the work of Vu Thi Quyen, Executive Director and Founder of our partner organization, Education For Nature-Vietnam. Education for Nature – Vietnam (ENV) was established in 2000 as Vietnam’s first non-governmental organization focused on the conservation of nature and the protection of the environment. They combat the illegal wildlife trade and creates awareness among the Vietnamese public about the need to protect nature and wildlife. We recently sat down with Quyen for a short interview about her experience working in rhino conservation.
