Privacy Policy

The International Rhino Foundation (“IRF”) respects and protects the privacy of its contributors. The IRF will not trade, share or sell a donor’s personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations.

Unless requested otherwise by a contributor, IRF may list the name, city and state of its contributors and the occasion for such contributions on its website, www.rhinos.org, and in contribution solicitation materials. This is a well-established policy adopted by most charitable organizations. Contribution amounts and specific addresses of contributors are not disclosed; however, contributors who want the amount of their donation publicly disclosed may request the same from IRF. IRF will not disclose any other private, non-public personal information concerning a contributor to any third party except to the extent authorized by such contributor or to comply with applicable law or valid legal process. Respect for its contributors’ right to privacy is a basic standard of integrity for all IRF activities.

Moreover, IRF has a strong commitment to internet privacy.

As indicated above, IRF maintains a website, www.rhinos.org. In general, visitors to IRF’s website remain anonymous. IRF does not require visitors to register or provide personal information in order to view its website; yet, there are occasions on IRF’s website when the visitor is asked to provide additional information concerning his/herself, such as when a visitor requests to receive additional information from IRF. IRF does track its website usage and non-personally identifiable information (that is, information that can be traced to a single, personally identifiable individual) of its website’s visitors to evaluate how well its website is reaching and serving the needs of its visitors. IRF does not sell or distribute any information outside of IRF that was input on its website by its website’s visitors or obtained from tracking its website usage. IRF, though, may disclose such information when it believes in good faith that the law requires it. Further, IRF makes every effort to insure the secure collection and transmission of sensitive user information using industry-accepted data collection and encryption methodologies.
